He married SARAH ELIZABETH EDWARDS on July 20, 1867 in Wayne County, Indiana.^{193, 1675} She died May 9, 1900 in New Paris, Preble, Ohio.⁴⁵⁶ She is buried in Springlawn Cemetery, New Paris, Preble, Ohio.⁴⁵⁶
