Melvin LeRoy Green

SCOTTSBLUFF — Melvin LeRoy Green, 73, of Scottsbluff, died, Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at Regional West Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, June 16, 2001, at St. James Lutheran Church with the Rev. Barry Warpness officiating. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery. Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory in Scottsbluff. A memorial has been established to the church. Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

He was born October 25, 1972, in Scottsbluff, to Henry and Catherine (Drumheller) Green. He received is education in the Scottsbluff schools, graduating in 1946. He married Rose Alice Rogers on February 20, 1949, in Mitchell and made their home in Scottsbluff.

He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his father Henry of Scottsbluff; son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Julie Green and their son Noah, all of Gibbon, Neb.; granddaughter Stephanie Green and her fiance James Hawley, both of Gering; sisters-in-law, Eudine Green of Scottsbluff, Peggy Rogers of Scottsbluff, Rita Rogers of Soule, South Korea, and Betty Petersen of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, son Melvin LeRoy Green Jr., mother, and brothers, Jerry and Harvey.
