Spring Grove, Nov. 9.—As the result of injuries sustained in a fall about three weeks ago, Mrs. Elsie Kate Loucks, wife of Harry C. Loucks, proprietor of the Spring Grove department store, died this afternoon at 1 o'clock. Mrs. Loucks suffered little from the injury, which was internal, until last Friday, since which time her condition was critical. She was 32 years, 3 months and 24 days old. Surviving the deceased are her husband and two children, Kathryn and John, at home; her mother, Mrs. Kathryn Myers, of this place; three brothers, Jesse Myers, Milton Myers and Albert Myers, all of Jackson township, and two sisters, Mrs. George Bentzel, of near Thomasville, and Mrs. Elsie Stauffer, of Hanover. The funeral will be held at the Loucks residence, on North Water street, at 1 p. m., after which the funeral party will proceed to Roth's Reformed church, Jackson township, where concluding services will be held. Interment will be made in the church cemetery. The Rev. Dr. O. P. Schellhamer, pastor of the Paradise Reformed charge, will offi[c]iate.

Spring Grove, Nov. 12.—Fifteen hundred persons this afternoon attended the funeral of Mrs. Elsie Kate loucks, wife of Harry C. Loucks, local merchant, who died Thursday afternnon as the result of injuries sustained in a fall. In the funeral procession to Roth's church,Jackson township, there were 90 automobiles and many teams. The funeral was among the largest held in this church in many years.Many friends and relatives came here fore the services from distant points. At Roth's Reformed church, where concluding services were held, a number were unable to gain admittance to the edifice. Brief funeral services were held at the house at 1 o'clock, after which the funeral party proceeded to the church, where concluding services were held. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. Dr. O. P. Schellhamer, pastor of the Paradise Reformed charge, officiated. The pallbearers were: Temporius Kopp, John Senft, Leon Rife and Jesse Zeigler. The choir of Mt. Zion Reformed church, the Rev. George W. Welsh, pastor, sang several selections at the house.

Harry C. Loucks, a former Spring Grove business man and retired employe of the P. H. Glatfelter Company, died about 10:15 o'clock last night in the Hanover General hospital. He was 69 years of age. Death resulted from injuries received last Thursday night when he fell from a partly completed outside stairway at his on on Water street, Spring Grove.
Mr. Loucks had conducted a store on Main street at Spring Grove for a number of years.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margie Senft Loucks; two sons, 1st Sgt. John M., Panama Canal Zone, and Harry N., Eysterstown; two daughters, Mrs. Roy Fiessel, Spring Grove, and Mrs. Jack Potter, at home; four grandchildren, a half-brother, John Fissell, Thomasville, and a half-sister, Mrs. Annie Myers, West York. Funeral arrangements, in charge of Walter W. Futer, York undertaker, are incomplete.
