Saturday before an altar banked with white stocks and gladioli in the Church of Our Saviour, San Gabriel, Cal., Miss Jananne Howard Brooks, formerly of Salt Lake City, became the bride of David Collins Banks, son of Mrs. Dell M. Banks of Altadena, Cal., and F. M. Banks of Los Angeles.
Rev. Franklin Gibson officiated at the impressive afternoon ceremony which was followed by a reception at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert H. Calvin, in San Marino, Cal.
The beautiful bride, a former student at Rowland Hall school for girls in Salt Lake City, descended the aisle on the arm of her father. She wore a floor-length white tulle gown banded with white satin scallops. Her three-quarter length tulle veil was caught to a dainty Juliet cap. White kid gloves and a string of pearls belonging to her grandmother completed the outfit. Her bouquet was of white camellias.
Attendants, Mrs. E. H. Morgan of San Lorenzo, Cal., Mrs. E. H. Brooks of Palo Alto, Mrs. Stephen Barlow of Los Angeles, and Miss Barbara Harris of San Marino, wore similar pink and white embroidered organza gowns styled with off-the-shoulder necklines and pink satin belts. Their Juliet caps were rose and they carried bouquets of pink tulips.
Stephen Barlow of Los Angeles performed best man duties for the groom, who was graduated from California Institute of Technology at Pasadena, Cal., and who later received his master's degree from the same school.
Ushers were E. H. Brooks and William Brooks, brothers of the bride, and William McDonnell of Los Angeles.
