She married (2) ALFRED LAPE on August 24, 1940 in Wayne County, Indiana.1675 He was born December 26, 1893 in Pennsylvania,1675 and died April 7, 1976 in Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Montgomery, Ohio.90

Carl S. McClure, War Vet, Is Dead

Carl S. McClure, 39, of 3026 Marimont drive, secretary to the president of the Egry Register company, navy veteran of the World war and former secretary of the Dayton Real Estate board, died at the National Military home at 4:10 a.m. Wednesday.

Born in Waynesville, he joined the navy from there, serving as gunner's mate, first class, on the U. S. S. Oklahoma in foreign waters. Coming to Dayton, he found employment at the N. C. R., but became secretary of the Dayton Real Estate board in 1924, serving until 1928, when he became secretary to J. F. Ogsbury, president of the Dayton Scale company, continuing until 1934, when he became secretary to Milton Stern, president of the Egry Register company.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; two daughters, Jean and Marion, and a brother, James E. McClure of Waynesville.

LAPE, Alfred, age 82, of 6725 Peters Rd., passed away Wednesday at Miami Valley Hospital. He had been retired for the past 10 years. He was a member of the Old Timer's Baseball Assn. Survived by his wife Margaret; 4 daughters, Mrs. Audrey Martin, Mrs. Walter (Margaret) Dinwiddle both of Dayton; Mrs. Rolland (Jean) Wellman of Medway, Mrs. Marion Bayne of Trotwood; 3 sisters Mrs. Bertha Braner, Mrs. Lottie Carroll both of Dayton, Mrs. Eva Fries of Pittsburgh, Pa.; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Services 1 p.m. Saturday Luthman Funeral Home, 364 Xenia Ave. Rev. Roy Fisher officiating. Interment Forest Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 3-5 and 7-9 o.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers it is requested that contributions be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Cancer Fund.

LAPE, Margaret H., age 88, of Clayton, passed away Tuesday evening after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Lape had retired from Miami Valley Hospital with over 25 years of service. Preceded in death by her husband, Alfred in 1976, and a daughter, Marion Bayne. Survived by her daughter, Jean Wellman of Medway; grandchildren, Carla Fox, William Bayne, Flo Bayne, & Linda Taylor; 6 great-grandchildren; and many dear friends. At the request of the family, Mrs. Lape will be cremated. The family will receive friends for a celebration of life at the home of Carla Fox, 5927 N. Union Rd. Friday evening at 7:00 P.M. If desired, contributions may be made to the Dayton Christian Schools in memory of Margaret. Arrangements Rogers Funeral Home, Trotwood.
