Harlow Edward Bissell

HARLOW EDWARD BISSELL, son of ELLEN RICHARDSON and HARLOW ANDREWS BISSELL, was born February 6, 1871 in Summit County, Ohio,2570 and died in 1930. He is buried in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Harvey, Kansas.456

Edward Bissell, of Sedgwick, was terribly injured last week by the accidental explosion of his shotgun. Mr. Bissell was hunting in McPherson county and was just going into a shed belonging to a friend to put away his gun, when he dropped it and it exploded. The shot ranged upward. Some lodged in the pit of his stomach, some in the lower jaw, a portion of his nose was torn off, as was part of his eyebrows and left hand.

WICHITA, Dec.1—(AP)—Three persons were injured, one fatally, when their motor car collided with a train north of here yesterday. Harlow E. Bissell, 59, suffered injuries from which he died several hours later. The other injured passengers were Mrs. Gertrude Smith and A. Burnson. The motor car, jarred loose from the front of the engine, proceeded nearly 100 yards under its own power before it stopped. It did not overturn.
