Miss Lois Steph, daughter of Mrs. Clara Steph, of Kansas City, and Mr. Donald Robert Brant, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brant, of Carrollton, were marred at eight o'clock Thursday night, October 12, at the Little Chapel of the Flowers in Berkeley, California. The double ring ceremony was read by the Rev. Wildin, pastor of a Baptist church in Berkeley.
Mrs. Laura Reynolds, of California, a cousin of the bride, was her attendant, and Mr. Leonard Miller served as best man.
Mr. and Mrs. Brant motored to "Hartsook Inn" in the heart of the beautiful Redwoods of northern California for a short honeymoon. They are now at home in an apartment at 5341 Alameda in Richmond, California.
Mr. Brant has a position with the California Ink Company at Berkeley.
The bridegroom attended and Cameron schools for a number of years and was graduated from Cameron high school. He was very popular and prominent in all the activities of the school, and has a host of good friends here who are pleased to hear of him again. Donald and his sister, Miss Peggy Brant, were both among our finest young people during their residence here. The family moved from here to Carrollton several years ago.

Lois Steph Brant, 83, a native of Skidmore, Mo., died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005, at a local health-care facility.
Lois retired after working 33 years with East Bay Utility District in Richmond, Calif.
She served as past president of the Business Professional Women in Albany, Calif. She was also an elder at Barrett Avenue Christian Church in Richmond.
She lived a rich, full life. She loved world travel, gardening, church music, her home of 49 years in Richmond, Calif., and most of all, she loved her beloved husband, Don Brant who passed away in 1991. She was loved by many and her with and thoughtfulness will be missed.
Survivors: her sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Ronald Lathrop, St. Joseph; a step-brother, Don Taylor and his wife, Jean Taylor of Gladstone, Mo.; sister-in-law, Peggy Brant, Sabetha, Kan.; a nephew, a niece, and many cousins.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Joseph. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
