Albert E. Brown, son of John S. and Rachel T. Brown, died Tuesday, February 9th at 7 a. m., at his residence in West Richmond, after a brief illness lasting but a few hours, of paralysis of the brain, resulting from the bursting of a blood vessel. He was in his usual health, and his accustomed sunny disposition—the latter of which was a marked characteristic with him—on Monday preceeding, and at his post of duties apparently feeling no symptoms of an attack of the fatal malady that so soon overtook him. He was a life-long resident of this vicinity, and to know Albert E. Brown was to have the realization of knowing a father devoted to his wife and his one surviving child—a boy—with true Christian devotion, knowing no enmity for any one. Six sister and two brothers survive him.
