Detroiter Claims Bride in Lansing

In a candlelight ceremony performed by the bride's uncle, Lynette Carolyn Ralya spoke her marriage vows to Donald Adair Brown, Jr., in the Lansing Plymouth Congregational Church on Saturday.

The Rev. Charles H. Meeker, of South Bend, Ind., read the service before an altar banked with four large tinsel-trimmed Christmas trees. Brillian red poinsettias accented the green, white and silver color scheme.

The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Charles Ralya, of Haslett, wore a period gown of frost-white chiffon velvet, its wide draped fichu caught up with velvet bows.

Accenting the hoop skirt were a triple-tiered bustle, hip paniers and a cathedral train. A wreath of holly held the bridal veil of illusion and she carried a heart-shaped bouquet of red roses.
