Morton (Brownie) Brown

Morton O. (Brownie) Brown, 69 years old, 311 College avenue, died Tuesday afternoon at Winchester. He was an engineer at Earlham college for 19 years. Born June 26, 1878, in Wayne county, he had been a resident of Richmond, Wayne county, and vicinity most of his life. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church.

Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Gertrude Brown; one daughter, Mrs. Harry E. Sterling of Richmond; one sister, Mrs. Grace Staley of Los Angeles, Calif.; one brother, John S. Brown of Elyria, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Brown will be held Friday at 2 p. m., at the Jones & Placke Funeral home. Rev. A. H. Keck will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p. m. Thursday.

Mrs. Morton Brown

Mrs. Gertrude Brown, 78 years old, who resided with her daughter, Mrs. Harry Sterling, 311 College avenue, died Monday evening. The widow of Morton Brown, she was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran church.

Survivors in addition to the daughter include a sister, Mrs. Roll Miller of Richmond; three brothers, Lester and John Bucher, both of Richmond, and Claude of rural route, Indianapolis; nieces and nephews.

Services for Mrs. Brown will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the Jones and Placke funeral home. Rev. Charles Masheck and Dr. Albert Keck will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham cemetery. Friends may call at the funeal home after 3 p. m. Tuesday.
