Shirley Jean Buel Weds Paul Everett Brown Of Stirling City

STIRLING CITY—Miss Shirley Jean Buel became the bride of Paul Everett Brown at a lovely wedding held last Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Pentecostal Church at Tulelake. The ceremony was solemnized by Rev. Albert Rowley of Stirling City.

The bride wore a white organza gown and finger-tip veil. She carried a bouquet of pink rose buds.

Her attendants, dressed in formal gowns, were Miss Maxie Buel, maid of honor, who wore a pink gown and carried asters, and bridesmaids, Miss Edith Brown of Stirling City and Miss Merline Buel of Tulelake who wore gowns of blue lace and blue taffeta.

Harvey Brown, the bridegroom's brother, was best man and ushers were John Gottschalk and John Jackson.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Buel of Tulelake and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Brown of Stirling City. The young couple will remain at Stirling City for a month after which they plan to go to San Francisco where they will attend Glad Tidings Bible School.

BROWN, Paul Everett

Born October 21, 1921 in Backus, Minn., to Francis and Pearl Brown, Paul, a minister, missionary and college professor died September 25, 2007, at the age of 85. He succumbed to Parkinson's Disease and Alzheimer's after a long battle. He has been a resident of Banning and Redlands, California most recently. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Jean Brown, resident of Redlands and their three sons, Timothy, Terry and Mark Brown. Paul received an advanced degree from Sacramento State University and a Doctorate from Clairmont University. Memorial services were held on Monday, October 1, at Sterling City, Calif., his boyhood town. in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Vanguard University scholarship fund.
