Crawfordsville Journal, June 26, 19034017

At 5:30 last evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Lyle, 303 East College street, their daughter, Miss Rose Lyle, was united in marriage to Mr. Wesley Burk. The bride and groom entered the parlor unattended, and were there made one by the Rev. H. L. Nave, of the First Presbyterian church. Only about thirty relatives and friends witnessed the ceremony, which was beautiful in its simplicity. The bride wore a beautiful gown of white batiste, and carried white carnations. The parlor was decorated with carnations and smilax, lilies and ferns also being used. A great many beautiful presents had been received by the bride. After the ceremony, the bride's parents entertained at a 6 o'clock tea in honor of the newly married couple. Mr. and Mrs. Burk will reside here, as he has for some time had a position with the Indiana Match Company. Mrs. Joseph Hunter, of Piqua, O. was an out-of-town guest for the nuptials.

About 7 o'clock last evening the many friends of the happy young couple gave them about the liveliest charivari that Crawfordsville people have been honored with for many a day, and the groom is reported to have responded handsomely.
