Walter Meisegeier
RICE LAKE — Walter Meisegeier, 73, died Wednesday at Lakeview Medical Center, Rice Lake.
He was born in Barron County and married Crystal Carter in 1942 in Bruce. After her death he married Gertrude Hazen in 1966 in Rice Lake. He worked for Ralston Purina Co. in Barron.
Survivors include his wife; four stepsons, Richard, Duane Hazen, both of Coos Bay, Ore., Kenneth Hazen, Costa Mesa, Calif., Gerald Hazen, Cumberland; three brothers, Reynold, Harrison, Mich., Edward, Bruce, Warren, Eau Claire; a sister, Bermgard Schaaf, Chetek; and 13 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals, Rice Lake, with burial in Bruce Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 9 pm. Friday and from 9 a.m. to services Saturday at the funeral home.
