Last Will and Testament of Edwin S. Coffin of Toledo, Ohio (Lucas County, filed 8 June 1931)
In the Name of the Benevolent Father of All, amen;
Edwin S. Coffin of the City of Toledo County of Lucas and State of Ohio, being about 84 years of age, and being of sound and disposing mind and memory, Do Make, Publish and Declare this my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making null and void all other Last Wills and Testaments by me made heretofore.
First. - My Will is that all my just Debts and Funeral Expenses shall be paid out of my Estate as soon after my decease as shall be found convenient.
Second. - I Give, Devise and Bequeath to my daughter Edna A. Souder of Richmond, Indiana the use of the lower floor and basement of my duplex located at 928 Oakwood Ave., during her lifetime.
Third. - I give, devise and bequeath to Margaret M. Beerbouer the use of the upper floor of the aforesaid duplex during her lifetime for the purpose of compensating her for services rendered to me.
Fourth. - In further recognition of services rendered to me I give devise and bequeath to Margaret M. Beerbouer the sum of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) in money or other securities which I may own at the time of my decease.
Fifth. - I give, devise and bequeath to my sister Adeline Whinnery of Union, Iowa the sum of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) in money or other securities which I may own at the time of my decease.
Sixth. - Having made provision for my daughter Florence Emily Price by making her the beneficiary in a certain Life Insurance Policy no devise or bequest to her is made herein.
Seventh. - I give, devise and bequeath to my three nieces, Ella Seckle, Tulsa, Okla., Clara Hauser, Union, Iowa, and Martha Coffin Des Moines, Iowa the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) each.
Eighth. - It is my will that after my decease Edna A. Souder and Margaret M. Beerbouer shall each pay one-half of the taxes assessed against my real estate located at 928 Oakwood Avenue as long as they shall live, and use the said real estate as provided in the second and third items of this will.
Ninth. - It is my will that after the life estates provided for in the second and third items of the will have terminated, my real-estate located at 928 Oakwood Ave., shall pass to, and become the property of my granddaughter Elizabeth Ellen Trusler of Richmond, Indiana.
Tenth. - I give, devise and bequeath to my daughter Edna A. Souder the balance of all personal property owned by me at the time of my decease, after carrying out the foregoing bequests.
I nominate and appoint The Spitzer-Rorick Trust & Savings Bank to be executor of this my Last Will and Testament.
In testimony Whereof, I have set my hand and seal to this, my Last Will and Testament, at Toledo, Ohio, this 16th day of January in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Thirty.
