Short Biography of Richard Connell

CONNELL, Richard, Physician and Surgeon; born, Cataraugus Co., N. Y., Apr. 5, 1856; son, Martin and Johanna Connell. Edu.: common schools of Ohio and Nebr.; M. D., Kentucky School of Medicine, 1889. Married, Lulu Pelton, in Nebr.; second, Mary E. Israel, 1883, in Iowa; third, Nina Hall, 1907, at Spokane, Wash. Began work as telegraph operator for U. P. R. R., in 1872, at Sidney and Grand Island, Nebr.; in 1883, promoted to agency in Utah; transferred to better position in Idaho, 1884; went to Wash., in 1886, where was station agent for N. P. previous to starting for college in 1888; began practice, 1890. Went to North Yakima, 1896; Spokane County, 1897; Lincoln Co., 1900-07; returned to North Yakima, 1907. Member: Alumni, Univ. of Louisville, class 1889; Yakima County Med. Soc., Wash. State Med. Assn. Res.: 306 N. 6th st.; Office: 8 Sloan bldg., North Yakima, Wash.
