Florence Elizabeth "Libby" Tilley Coxe

"Elizabeth" to her family; "Libby" to husband and friends and just "Mom" to us, left us on February 3, 1998, after many years of valiant struggle with pain and illness.

Though she will now be free of pain and happily reunited with many loved ones, we will miss her forever. Her greatest love and legacy was her children. Everyone who met her would fall for her sweet nature.

Mom was born July 17, 1917 to Charles Blaine and Fannie Henrietta Coleman Tilley in Mt. Airy, NC. She moved with her family to Pennsylvania and finally Bel Air, MD, when a teenager. Mom served in the Womens Army Corps (WAC) during World War II. She married Keith Edmund Coxe on October 27, 1946 in Webster, SD; he died February 15, 1985.

After many moves around the country in a trailer home, mom became a resident of Bountiful for 13 years before moving to Fresno, CA in 1971; Winston-Salem, NC in 1988; then back to Bountiful in 1994. As well as raising her family, she worked at the IRS Service Centers in Ogden and Fresno from 1967 to 1981. She is also preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and a brother.

Surviving are her children; Sandra, Bountiful, UT; Colton, Truckee, CA; Christopher (Terry), Eden Prairie, MN; Bryan, Bountiful, UT; grandaughter, Mikayla, Eden Prairie, MN; and sisters, Mrs. Nell Kincaid, Churchville, MD; Mrs. Edith Keen, Bel Air, MD.

Many thanks to the Hospice of Bountiful for their care and support, especially to Susan, Wade, Mary, Jody, Maude and Shari.

A memorial service will be held on February 6, 1998 at 6 p.m. at the Bountiful Community Church, 150 No. 400 East.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South Davis Community Hospital, Hospice of Bountiful, 401 So. 400 East, Bountiful, UT 84010.
