24 Mar 1818: Jeremiah Cranmer bought "seventy five acres of land being the south side of Lot Number 72 in town No. five in the eleventh range of township" from Jeremiah Root's estate for $150 with interest.

8 Aug 1825: Jeremiah Cranmer bought "one half of the overpluss so called of lot No. seventy two fifth township in the eleventh range of township in the Connecticut Western Reserve and is bounded as follows: South by the south part of said lot deeded to the said Jeremiah Cranmer west by the west line of said lot north by the centre line of said lot and west by the east line of said lot being three acres or one half of the overpluss be the same more or less" from Abraham and Nancy Cranmer for $7.43.

His cabin was built on Lot 72 at what is now called 11463 Valley View Road.
