The Wesleyan Methodist church was the scene of an early summer wedding Saturday at 3 p. m., when Miss Anna Mae Foster, daughter of Mrs. Mancil Foster, Canandaigua, R4, and the late Mr. Foster, was united in marriage to Douglas Keith Kirtland, Canandaigua, R2. The Rev. Wesley B. Nussey, pastor, received the vows.
The bride, who was attended by Miss Jacqueline Burbage, Bristol, wore a gown of white pique with bonnet type hat of straw with white veling. She carried a bouquet of white roses.
Her maid of honor was in pink pique with small matching hat and carried pink sweetpeas.
Howard Kirtland was best man for his brother.
A reception for the immediate families was held in the home of the bride's mother.
After a short wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Kirtland will live at 325 South Main street. Both attended Canandaigua academy and the bridegroom saw Army service in the Pacific during World War II. He is employed by Victor Insulators Inc. and his bride at Kodak Park, Rochester.
