AUTO KILLS RAILROADER

Chicago, April 26. (AP)—Elmoyne Pearson, 45, of Converse, Ind., an engineer, was killed here as his automobile skidded and overturned tonight.

Three other Indiana men, all residents of Marion, were riding with Pearson but escaped with cuts and bruises. They are Ross Sanderson, 27, Donald Rille, 27, and James O'Brien.

Converse Workman Killed At Chicago

CONVERSE, Ind., April 27—Lemoine Pearson, 46, of Converse, who has been employed in Chicago, was injured fatally Monday when his car turned over Monday while he was enroute to work. He died a few hours later in a hospital. Three men riding with Pearson escaped with minor injuries.

Pearson had spent the weekend with his family here. He is survived by the wido, two children, Robert and Betty, his mother, Mrs. Molly Pearson, and two sisters, Mrs. Lula Ruby of Converse and Mrs. Hazel Hott of Montpelier.

The body is being returned here for funeral rites and burial.

BURY CRASH VICTIM

PERU, Ind., April 29—Funeral services for Lemoyne Pearson, Converse, who died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Chicago Monday were conducted from the Convers M. E. church Thrusday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial was made in Vernon cemetery.

John Middlewsorth

CONVERSE — John Middlesworth, 80, Converse, died at 6:24 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 1978, in Marion General Hospital.

Born Oct. 6, 1891 in Grant Co., he was the son of William and Viola (Malott) Middlesworth. He was married Nov. 16, 1955 to Edith Frantz who survives.

He was a retired farmer, member of the Converse Lions, treasurer of th Eastern Howard County Holding Corp., member of the Converse Cemetery Association and past deacon and trustee of the Converse Church of Christ.

Also surviving are four sons, Clarence W. Middlesworth of Marion, Robert G. Middlesworth of Atlantis, Fla., Joseph E. Middlesworth and John Middlesworth Jr. of Greentown; one daughter, Mary Dors Windegardner of Greentown; two stepchildren, Mrs. Robert Albaugh of Fort Wayne and Robert Pearson of Anderson; one brother, Homer J. Middlesworth of Greentown; and 23 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Converse Church of Christ with George Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Converse Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Monday in the Larrison-Martin Funeral Home, Converse.
