Andrew D. Cox

RED BANK — Andrew Dennis Cox, 57, of 74 Shrewsbury Ave. died Sunday at home.

He was born in Birmingham, Ala. and had lived in the shore area for 12 years. He was formerly of Atlanta, Ga. and Hillside.

He retired four years ago as an engineer with Ingersoll Rand Co., New York. Since his retirement he operated the Soho Camera Shop here.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, attaining the rank of major and was a graduate of Auburn University, Alabama. He had a masters degree in business administration from New York University.

Surviving are his wife Barbara Hall Cox; three daughters, Mrs. Ryck Hundredmark of Lakewood, Colo., Mrs. Gregory Speer of Denver, and Mrs. Stuart Levine of Santa Monica, Calif.; a brother, Richard A. Cox of Birmingham, and two granddaughters.

BARBARA "BOBBIE" HALL COX

AGE: 98

Barbara "Bobbie" Hall Cox, died at 98 years on January 29, 2017. She was born in Hillside, NJ, and married Andrew (Andy) Cox. They had three daughters. She worked as secretary at Elizabeth national Bank until Andy's work too the family to Atlanta, GA. They later returned to NJ, living in Fair Haven and Rumson. After Andy's death in 1974, she moved to Shadowlake Village, where she lived for 40 years, playing golf into her 90's, bridge with her lively group of girlfriends, going to the track. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ellen Boerner, Gail Speer, and Marti Reedy. She will be remembered for her irreverent humor. There was no one like her.

Memorials may be made to the Monmouth County Humane Society.
