At an early hour yesterday morning, Fred M. Hall, son of W. B. and Sarah E. Hall, died at the home of his mother on Fourth and Madison streets, after a lingering illness. The deceased was 28 years and 9 months of age at the time of his death, and grew up from childhood in this city. He attended the public schools and also the University. He chose as an occupation the printer's trade, and filled every position on a paper from devil to proprietor. After disposing of his interest in the Call, a little paper started by himself and his brother Walter, he took the city editorship of one of the evening papers, and made a newsy and reliable page. Finally he was overtaken by disease, and his mother took him to the eastern states, hoping that a change might effect a cure, but to no avail. He returned home on horseback a few weeks ago, and was at once confined to his bed, from which he never got up. Funeral will take place at 2:30 today from the family residence, the services being conducted by Rev. Clark D. Davis.
