Mrs. W. J. Steckel, Mrs. Walter Johnson and Miss Minnie Loeb planned and carried out a very pleasant surprise at the A. C. Lester home on Tuesday evening December 14, in honor of Miss Antoinette Hamilton whose marriage to F. W. Andrews will occur the 29th of this month. The affair partook of the nature of a linen and china shower, among which were several pieces of cut glass and silver. A mock marriage was a feature of the evening's entertainment also a reading by Miss Ruby Phillips. At the conclusion sandwiches, coffee and candy were served.

FRANK W. ANDREWS

Delhi, Ia. — Special: Funeral services for Frank W. Andrews, 72, were held here Monday at the home of his son, Roy, with the Rev. R. D. Hodgkins, local M. E. pastor, officiating.

Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. The pallbearers were: Bert Sherman, Bert Pulver, Frank Smith, James Wilson, G. L. Cramer, and William Bierle.

Mr. Andrews died at his home here Saturday evening following a lingering illness.

He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Andrews, and was born here Aug. 6, 1867. He spent the early part of his life in the Bay Settlement and at Hopkinton. He was engaged in the undertaking business in various parts of Iowa and Illinois for 15 years, retiring almost eight years ago. He since lived at Galena, Ill., and at Delhi.

He was married Dec. 29, 1909 to Antoinette Hamilton of Bloomfield.

He was a member of the Masonic and IOOF lodges.

MRS. ANTOINETTE ANDREWS

Delhi, Ia. — Special: Funeral services for Mrs. Antoinette Andrews, 74, were held here Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock at the home. Burial was in Bloomfield.

Mrs. Andrews died Tuesday at her home following a lingering illness.

She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Hamilton and was born Oct. 31, 1866 at Bloomfield where she spent most of her life.

She was married Dec. 29, 1909 to F. W. Andrews, who preceded her in death July 20, 1940.

During her early life she was editor of the Bloomfield weekly for eight years.

She was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge and the Methodist Church.
