HAWKINS, Robert Irvine, 92, of Moseley, passed away on January 11, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife, Natalie Irene Hawkins. Survivors include his four children, David Hawkins and his wife Peggy, of Moseley, Robert Hawkins and his wife, Cathy, of Smithtown, Long Island, N.Y., Steven Hawkins and his wife, Patti, of Sayville, Long Island, N.Y., and Susan Hawkins of Copague, N.Y.; six grandchildren, David, Brian, Kelly, Matthew, Patrick and Bob; and four great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Abby, Austin and William.

Robert Irvine Hawkins was a WWII veteran, who from 1942 to '46, served as an Air Corps technical engineer. He was a retired employee of Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company in Garden City, Long Island, N.Y., where he was a traffic manager. He was also a member of Swift Creek Presbyterian Church in Moseley. His remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday (today). Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Swift Creek Presbyterian Church, 5900 Woolridge Road. Interment will be held in Long Island, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bon Secours Hospice, 5875 Bremo Road, Suite 710, Richmond, Va. 23226.
