Short Biography of Albert S. Houston

HOUSTON, ALBERT STURGES, son of John and Maria (Sturges) Houston, was born in Denmark, Ia., 1851, July 6. Denmark Academy. Graduated Iowa College, 1878, and Chicago Seminary, 1881. Ordained, 1882, March ; missionary of the A. B. C. F. M., Ponape, Micronesia, 1882-5; acting pastor, Fayette, Io., 1886-7; Gilman, 1887-91; Clarion, 1892-3; Indianola, Neb., 1895-7; without charge, Norfold, Neb., and Evanston, Ill., after. Married, 1882, March 22, Elizabeth, daughter of Alexander and Anne Danskin, of Marengo, Io. Three children. Died of gripped, 1899, March 30, aged 47 years, 8 months, and 24 days.
