ROXYE B. IRVINE, daughter of KATHERINE BEAN and EDWARD PHILANDER IRVINE, was born January 5, 1888 in Missouri,⁹⁹ and died July 1, 1978 in Dade County, Florida.⁹⁹ She is buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Memphis, Shelby, Tennessee.⁴⁵⁶

She married HERBERT MARSKER RANEY on January 31, 1905 in Shelby County, Tennessee.¹⁰³⁶¹ He was born September 12, 1884 in Coldwater, Tate, Mississippi,^{8, 10360} and died October 28, 1930 in Memphis, Shelby, Tennessee.⁴⁵⁶ He is buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Memphis, Shelby, Tennessee.⁴⁵⁶

RANEY FUNERAL TODAY

Victim of Heart Attack Will Be Buried in Elmwood

Funeral services for Herbert M. Raney, 46, who died of a heart attack at his residence, 1925 Lamar Avenue, at 7:30 o'clock Tuesday night, will be held from the funeral home of J. T. Hinton & Son at 3 o'clock this afternoon, with the Rev. Israel H. Noe, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, where Masonic services will be held. Mr. Raney was a native of Coldwater, Miss., but had lived in Memphis for the past 40 years.

Pallbearers for the funeral will be A. S. Ullathorne, C. N. Mabie, Glenn F. Raney and P. B. Raney. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Roxye Irvine Raney, and two sons, Irvine and Wilson Raney.
