MALCOLM JACKSON, son of ANNA MARIA KNOTT and RICHARD JACKSON, was born March 21, 1860 in Richmond, Wayne, Indiana,182 and died February 6, 1931 in Charleston, Kanawha, West Virginia.182 He is buried in Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston, Kanawha, West Virginia.182

Word of the death of Malcolm Jackson, age 71 years, which occurred recently at his home in Charleston, W. Va., has been received here. Mr. Jackson wa a native of Richmond and was the son of the late Richard Jackson, pioneer merchant of Richmond.
The deceased had resided in Charleston for the last 40 years and was one of the distinguished members of the West Virginia bar. He retired from active law practice several years ago.
He was a graduate of Earlham college and received an appointment to the United States naval academy at Annapolis rseigning from there to begin the study of law.
He is survived by a brother, Richard Jackson, living near Salem, Mass., who practice law in Richmond a number of years and later became one of the leading railroad executives of the country; by two sisters, Mrs. Abbie Needham and Mrs. Mary J. Ruffner, both of Charleston but former Richmond residents, and by one daughter.
