Funeral services for Lacell V. MacIntire, age seventy-eight, retired night traffic manager of the Indianapolis office of the Western Union Telegraph Company, were to be held at the Flanner & Buchanan mortuary, 25 West Fall Creed boulevard, at 4 p. m. Friday. Burial was in Crown Hill cemetery. Mr. MacIntire died at his home, 5424 North Keystone avenue, Thursday.
He was born in Columbus, O., January 30, 1855, and became a telegrapher with the Big Four railroad, later entering the service of the Western Union at Madison in 1874. He was with the Indianapolis office from September, 1876, until October 31, 1923, when he was retired. He was a member of the Tabernacle Presbyterian church and Mystic Tie Lodge No. 398, F. and A. M. Survivors are two brothers, Charles T. MacIntire, Indianapolis, and William N. MacIntire, Helmsburg; two nephews, Ben C. MacIntire and C. Leland MacIntire, and two nieces,Marguerite H. MacIntire and May Ridgley.
