He married JOAN ANN HALLIWELL on October 7, 1939 in Church of the Annunciation, Oradell, Bergen, New Jersey,⁸³⁹⁰ daughter of MARION MADALINE PURINTON and ROBERT GRAHAM HALLIWELL. She was born March 21, 1919 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois,²⁵⁰ and died May 1, 1962 in Orange County, California.²⁵⁰

Joan Ann Halliwell Is Wed in the East

Word has been received from the East of the marriage of Miss Joan Ann Halliwell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. Halliwell of River Edge, N. J., to Thomas Henry Markham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Markham of River Edge, on October 7. Until two years ago the bride had always lived in Wilmette, and was graduated from New Trier High school in 1937.

The ceremony took place at the Church of the Annunciation in Oradell, N. J., and was followed by a reception at the home of the bride's parents. Several friends from Chicago and the North Shore were among the wedding guests.

After a honeymoon at Asbury Park, N. J., the young couple will live in River Edge.
