ROCKLAND, IDAHO — Oliver Magnus Munk, 86, died of natural causes Feb. 5 at home. Born Aug. 11, 1885, Logan, Utah, to Hans Jorgen and Larsigne Larsen Munk. Married Viva Cranney, Nov. 24, 1915, Salt Lake LDS Temple. Dry farmer, moved to Rockland from Howell Valley, Utah. Survivors: widow; sons, daughter, Jerald O., Sheridan, Mont.; Mariner, Howell, Utah; Melvin R., Rockland; Mrs. Don (Dorothy) Loveland, Boise; 24 grandchildren; 3 great - grandchildren; brother, sisters, Albert, Amanda Smith, Sophia Torbensen, all Logan. Funeral Tuesday, noon, Howell LDS Ward Chapel. Friends call 10 a.m. until service at chapel. Burial Logan City Cemetery. Family suggests contributions to LDS missionary fund.

Kate Cranney Munk

ROCKLAND, Idaho — Mrs. Kate Viva Cranney Munk, 88, of Rockland, foremerly of Howell, Box Elder County, Utah, died Wednesday in a Boise, Idaho, hospital.

Mrs. Munk was born July 10, 1886, Logan, a daughter of W. D. and Hattie Woolf Cranney.

She was educated in Logan and attended the Brigham Young College. She also attended Albion State Normal School in Idaho, where she received teachers certificate.

She taught school in Utah and Idaho for about 10 years.

She was married to Oliver M. Munk on Nov. 24, 1915, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died.

She had taught Sunday School, Primariy and MIA, and was president of the Howell LDS Ward Relieft Society. SHe was also a member of the Bear River Stake Relief Sociaty Board. She and her husband served an LDS Mission in Texas and Louisiana from 1952 to 1954.

Surviving are three sons, Jerald D. Munk, Sheridan, Wyo.; Mariner D. Munk, Howell, Utah; Melvin R. Munk, Rocland, Idaho; one daughter, Mrs. Don C. (Dorothy) Loveland, Boise, Idaho; 24 grandchildren and 10 great-granchildren.

Also surviving are three brothers and four sisters, Marvin Cranney, Oakley, Idaho; Leslie Cranney, Portola, Calif.; Monroe Cranney, Moscow, Idaho; Mrs. Cleo Hinckley, Mrs. Vera Briggs, both of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Claire McCurdy, Mrs. Helen Burnham, both of Los Angeles.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the LDS Ward Chapel in Howell, Utah, with Bishop Waldo F. Grant officiating.

Friends may call at the ward chapel Saturday from 12 noon until services. Burial in the Logan Cemetery, directed by the Davis Mortuary in American Falls, Idaho.
