John T. Myers
SPRING GROVE—John T. Myers, 74, husband of Mrs. Mabel A. Myers, Spring Grove, RD 3, died at 5 p.m. Thursday at Hanover General Hospital, where he was a patient five weeks. He had been in ill health the past three months.
A native of Jackson Township, he was the son of the late Jesse and Alice Trump Myers. He was well-known for his portrayal of Santa Clause in the Spring Grove area during the past 45 years.
Mr. Myers belonged to Trinity (Roth's) United Church of Christ and was an honorary member of Friendship Hose Co. and a member of Lincoln Fire Co., Thomasville.
He was a retired employe of the P. H. Glatfelter Co. During the past several years he was employed part-time by the Jackson Township Road Board.
Surviving in addition to this widow are a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Myers' minister, the Rev. Jacob M. Steinert, will officiate at services at 2:30 p.m. Sunday from the Sauter Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St. Burial will be in Trinity (Roth's) United Church of Christ Cemetery.
