OSBORNE. H. Fred. Osborne, 88, of 9 Olin St., Windsor, husband of Grace (Ware) Osborne, died Monday (August 4) at home. Born in Windsor, he had lived in Windsor most of his life. He was employed as a bookkeeper for the Travelers Insurance Company for 39 years, retiring in 1963. Mr. Osborne was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of all Scottish Rite Bodies, and a 60 year member of Hartford Lodge No. 88, AF&AM. He was a 50 year and five times Past Patron of Eureka Chapter No. 56 OES of Windsor, and Past Grand Royal Patron Order of the Amaranth of Connecticut. A past Patron of Charity Court No. 17 Order of Amaranth of Warehouse Point. He was also a member of the Grace Episcopal Church, Windsor. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Richard W. Osborne of Meriden; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Robert B. Osborne. Funeral service will be Wednesday, 11 a.m., at the Carmon Funeral Home, 6 Poquonock Ave., Windsor, with the Rev. Victor S. Ross Jr., officiating. Burial will be in Palisado Cemetery. His family will receive friends at the Carmon Funeral Home, today, 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Masonic Charity Foundation, P. O. Box 70, Wallingford, 06492.
