He married DOROTHY EVELYN SHERMAN on July 19, 1940 in Lebanon, Linn, Oregon.10625 She was born November 21, 1918,56 and died March 11, 2012.56

Parsonage Scene of Recent Rites

Lebanon—Miss Dorothy Sherman and Eclus Polleck were married at the parsonage of the First Baptist church here Saturday evening, July 13, with members of the two families present. Rev. LeRoy Crossley read the ceremony.

The bride, who was unattended, wore a smart pink street dress with white accessories and a corsage of rosebuds and sweet peas.

After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Pollock, parents of the groom.

The young couple will reside near Foster.

ECLUS ELVIN POLLOCK

10/9/1918 - 5/18/2014

After a short illness, Eclus died peacefully at his Willow Creek, Ca. home surrounded by family and friends, along with his constant companion, his dog Sadie. Eck was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy in 2012, they had been married for 75 years. Eck is survived by his son Larry Pollock of Willow Creek and a brother Barney Pollock of Oregon. Eck was a World War II veteran. He served in the Pacific on the P. C. 487. In 2013 thanks to honor flight, Eck along with his guardian and good friend Ken Mathison, had the opportunity to visit his WW II memorial in Washington D. C. Eck was a true outdoors-man and avid golfer. He shot his age three years in a row, when he was 79, 80 and 81. Eck spent many years as a timber faller in Oregon and California. He ended his working career as a salesman for S & S Mobile Home sales. Eck was a true gentleman and will be missed by all who knew him. At his request there will be no service, however, there will be a celebration of life later this summer. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Willow Creek Museum or the charity of your choice.
