TUTTLE, MRS. BERTHA RHODES
Shore Haven Nursing Home, Grand Haven
Mrs. Bertha Mae Tuttle, age 94, died Friday morning in a Grand Haven nursing home. She was born Bertha Mae Shimmel, May 16, 1890 in Marne, MI. and came to Muskegon in 1943. She was married to Herbert P. Rhodes who died in 1926. She later married Ralph L. Tuttle, who preceded her in death in 1960. Mrs. Rhodes was a seamstress and opened and operated "Bertha Mae Aprons" of Muskegon for many years. Mrs. Rhodes is survived by 1 daughter, Mrs. Wilbert (Pauline) Hietanen of Muskegon; 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Ralph J. Rhodes in 1972. The memorial service will be held Monday, 1:30 P.M. at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Rev. Dennis Scoville officiating. There will be no visitation.
