William Adelbert Robbins, 94
of Tacoma, Washington
Former Auburn resident William Adelbert Robbins of Tacoma died April 18, 2005, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tacoma. He was 94.
Born June 8, 1910, in Minneapolis, he lived in Auburn for 30 years.
Mr. Robbins was the owner of a second-hand store and was a jack-of-all-trades. He enjoyed music, hunting and writing poetry.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian, and son, Robert. He is survived by his sons, Richard Robbins of Auburn and Dean Robbins of Orting; daughters, Violet Robbins of Oakland, Calif., Vivian Ruddick of Portland, Ore., Evelyn Fleming of Aberdeen, Darlene "Debby" Kern of Auburn and Linda Gall of Hoquiam; 27 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. today and Friday prior to the service at 1 p.m. at Price-Helton Funeral Chapel in Auburn. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Auburn.
