A telegram received from Jacksonville, Fla., by Miss Margaret Sawyers, Monday morning announced that her sister, Marie Jeanette, was married to Wimberly McLeod of Jacksonville, Fla., Sunday evening at the home of her father, G. B. Sawyers. Mr. and Mrs. McLeod have gone to Tampa, Fla., for a short trip and will be at home later in Jacksonville.

ABBEVILLE—Miss Jeanette Sawyers and Mr. Wimberly McLeod, both of Jacksonville, Fla., were married last Sunday night in Jacksonville. Mr. McLeod was raised in Abbeville and is the son of Hon. and Mrs. George F. McLeod, of this city. He has been in Jacksonville for about three years where he has a responsible position with Berry Griggs & Co., of Toledo, Ohio, being their Florida manager.

ABBEVILLE, Ga., March 1.—Mrs. Jeannette McLeod died at a hospital in Jacksonville, Fla., last Tuesday morning. She was the wife of Wimberly McLeod. They had been married about one year. She leaves besides her husband, a daughter two days' old, a mother, father and one sister. Wimberly McLeod is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. George F. McLeod, of Abbeville. The burial was at Evergreen cemetery, Jacksonville, last Tuesday afternoon.

Wimberly F. McLeod, 1189 Reagan Street, San Benito, died in a Kerrville hospital Sunday morning after a lengthy illness.
Born in 1893 in Abbeyville, George, a graduate of the University of George Law School, he came to the Rio Grande Vally in 1920 where he was a prominent businessman and land developer for 45 years, having developed several tracts in this area.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Claire W. McLeod of San Benito; a daughter, Mrs. John Doster Owens, and a grandson, John Doster Owens Jr. of Abbeyville, Georgia; one sister, Mrs. George Morgan Eusty of Florida.
Graveside services were held Wednesday at Fort Sam Houston cemetery in San Antonio.
