DANIEL R. SCOTT, son of SARAH LOGAN and JOHN SCOTT, was born in 1831 in Richmond, Wayne, Indiana,³³⁴ and died December 6, 1864 in Charleston County, South Carolina.³⁷³⁵ He is buried in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort County, South Carolina.⁴⁵⁶

He married CHARLOTTE CRAMPTON on September 5, 1854 in Preble County, Ohio.^{3735, 12} She was born in 1834 in Ohio.
