7TH DIV., Korea—Sgt. Albert C. Stambaugh, 24, son or Mr. and Mrs. Ira J. Stambaugh, Converse, Ind., is a member of the 7th Infantry Division in Korea.
Sergeant Stambaugh, a section sergeant in Company 3 of the division's 31st Regiment, enterd the Army in January 1954 and arrived overseas last January.
He is a veteran of service in Korea and on Okinawa.

Army Sgt. Albert C. Stambaugh, 31, son of Mr. and Mrs.Ira J. Stambaugh, Converse, and other members of the 25th Infrantry Division are participating in exercise LAVA RIDGE II, a combines Army-Air Force mobility exercise in the Hawaiian Islands.
Stambaugh, a member of Headquarters Company of the division's 21st Infantry, entered the Army in 1947 and was stationed at Fort Myer, Va., before arriving in Hawaii in December, 1962. His wife, Ida, is with him in Hawaii.

CONVERSE — Albert Carl "Pete" Stambaugh, 63, 813 E. Wabash St., Converse, died at 11:23 a.m. Wednesday in Marion General Hospital.
Mr. Stambaugh had lived in Converse since 1970 and retired in 1985 from United Technologies. He was a retired Army staff sergeant. He served in the Army for 24 years, and was also in the Air Force from 1950 to 1953. He served as a staff sergeant during the Korean War. In 1956, he became a member of The Old Guard, a group that guards the Tome of the Unknown Soldier.
Survivors include his wife, Ida Mae (Edds), Converse; two sons, John, Converse, and Carl, Marion; five daughters, Tammy and Carla, both of Converse, Geneva Jackson, New Albany; Linda Spradlin, Dalton, Ga., and Ann Myers; a brother, Wayne, Florida; a sister, Mrs. Russell (Betty) Tipton, Marion; 15 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Larrison-Martin-Duncan Funeral Home, 308 E. Marion St., Converse, with the Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in the Converse Cemetery. There will be full military honors at the gravesite.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
