Charles E. Stambaugh
Charles E. Stambaugh, 79, died Tuesday night in the Carlisle Hospital. He resided at the Carlisle Fairgrounds where he was a horse trainer.
Mr. Stambaugh was born Jan. 8, 1882 in Cumberland County, a son of the late Clarence and Alice Boyles Stambaugh. He was a veteran of World War I having served as a sergeant with the 316th Infantry. He trained horses all his life.
He is survived by two neices.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 Saturday in the G. Book Roth Funeral Home, Walnut Bottom Road at Belvedere Street. The Rev. Harold R. Stoudt, pastor, Trinity Lutheran Church, Mechancsburg, will officiate. Burial will be in Westminister Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday at 9:30-10:30 at the funeral home.
