Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brennen of Bedford, Ind., announce the marriage of their daughter, Florence, to Dr. Howard E. Sweet, son of Mrs. E. G. Sweet of this city. The marriage took place Oct. 5, 1935.
Mrs. Sweet is a graduate of the Bedford High School and of Ladywood School, Indianapolis. Dr. Sweet is a graduate of Morton High School, attended Earlham College and was graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine. He is a member of the Phi Beta Pi medical fraternity. Dr. Sweet has been appointed a member of the staff of Anchor Hospital at St. Paul, Minn.

Dr. Howard E. Sweet, 61, 900 Garwood Road, a lifelong Richmond resident and practicing physician, was found dead at home about noon Saturday.
Dr. Sweet graduated from Morton High School in 1926, attended Earlham College, and graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the medical corps in the European theater.
He was a member of all Masonic ordrs, the Wayne-Union Medical Society and St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include the widow, Florence; one daughter, Mrs. Peter A. Morstad of Denver, Colo.; one son, John of Indianapolis; one sister, Mrs. Ralph Ahl of Richmond; and five grandchildren.
Services for Dr. Sweet will be announced later by Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Reid Memorial Hospital.

Florence B. Sweet, 73, R.R. 2, Spencer, former resident of Richmond, died Thursday at her home.
She was a native of Bedford and had lived in Richmond most of her life.
Survivors include one daughter, Charlotte A. Morstad of Denver, Colo., and one son, John H. Sweet of R.R. 2, Spencer; one sister and three brothers; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Her husband, Dr. Howard E. Sweet, died in 1971.
Funeral service for Florence B. Sweet will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Earlham Mausoleum chapel, wiht Rev. John Hartzer officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call from4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home.
