FRED M. Taylor, owner and manager of the T. & R. Oil Co., Inc., was born at Whitestown in 1900.
Graduating from Whitestown high school, he received an A. B. degree from Wabash college in 1923. Moving to Indianapolis in 1918, Taylor upon graduating from college, associated at different times with Firestone, United States and Dunlop tire firms as sale representatives. In 1934 he took a position with Gaseteria, Inc. He came to Lafayette last year and went into business for himself as Lafayette Representative for the Bonded System.
Taylor is a member of Lambda Chi Alpha social fraternity and the Lafayette Elks. He joined the Chamber of Commerce last spring. He is married and has two children.

Mrs. Evelyn B. Taylor, 65 years old, 112 South Bancroft Avenue, secretary for the Indiana Association of Mental Health, died yesterday in her home.
Mrs. Taylor, who had been with the association nine years was a native of the Hartford City area and an Indianapolis resident since 1957.
She was a member of Irvington Presbyterian Church, Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority and attended Indiana University.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Flanner and Buchanan Fall Creek Mortuary. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include the husband, Fred M. Taylor; a son, James L. Taylor of Richmond, Ind., a daughter, Mrs. George R. Scott of Indianapolis, and eight grandchildren.

Fred M. Taylor, 75, 8324 Wysong Drive, died yesterday in Community Hospital. He was born at Whitestown and had lived here 17 years. Mr. Taylor was employed in the receiving and stock room of Bio-Dynamics Inc. four years, retiring in 1970. Before that he was a purchasing agent with Peerless Pump Divsion of FMC Corporation 10 years. He attended Indiana University and was a 1923 graduate of Wabash College. He was a member of Irvington Presbyterian Church and Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Services will beheld at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jerrie Scott of Indianapolis, and a son, James L. Taylor of Richmond.
