MRS. TIMMERMAN DIES AT AGE OF 80

Mrs. Lulu Timmerman, 80, died today at the farm home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dostal of Ludington Route 2. Mrs. Dostal is a niece of Mrs. Timmerman.

"Aunt Lou," as she was known affectionately, made many friends in Mason county during the little more than a year she had lived in this county.

She was born in Iowa. Her parents died when she was a little child and she came to Pentwater where she was brought up by relatives. She was married there to Henry Timmerman and they resided in Manistee. Her husband passed away 34 years ago.

For many years Mrs. Timmerman was a practical nurse, surviving in this capacity especially during World War I when her services were badly needed. Subsequently she moved to Muskegon where she resided for several years before coming to Mason county in October, 1942.

Mrs. Timmerman had been in poor health for the past eight weeks and was confined to her bed about four weeks.

She is survived by a son, Ralph Timmerman; a grandson, Lyle Timmerman; a granddaughter, Mrs. William Franklin, and two great grandchildren.

The body was taken to Dorrell chapel where it will remain until funeral services, announcement of which will be made later. Burial will be made in Oak Grove cemetery at Manistee.
