Horace M. (Higie) Vaughn

Horace M. (Higie) Vaughn, 76, 202 North West H. St., died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon at Reid Memorial Hospital.

A lifelong resident of Richmond, he was a former employe of First Security Loan Company. He was a membe of Veteans of World War I. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.

Mr. Vaughn is survived by his widow, Ruby; one son, Eugene of Richmond; three grandsons and cousins.

Services for Mr. Vaughn will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Riggle-Waltermann Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Lynn Denison officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.

Ruby P. Vaughn

Ruby P. Vaughn, 82, 1750 Middleboro Pike, died Tuesday afternoon at Heritage Regency after a short illness.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Richmond. She retired in 1964 after 23 years service at Perfect Circle Corp. She was a life member of Faith Trinity United Methodist Church, the Joy Bearers Circle, Women's Society of the church, and Progressive Sunday School Class of the church.

She was preceded in deth by her husband, Horace (Higie) Vaughn, in 1974, and a grandson, Gaylen Vaugh, in 1981.

Survivors include a son, Eugene Vaughn, with whom she resided; two grandson, Gary Vaughn of New Paris, Ohio, and Greg Vaughn of Richmond; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Harry Gibbs of Richmond; nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Ruby P. Vaughn will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at Riggle-Waltermann Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Rasmussen officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, and one hour prior to Friday's service, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Trinity United Methodist Church.
