Knippel-Weaver.
Palms, ferns and large baskets of summer flowers will form the background for the marriage of Miss Mildred Knippel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam J. KNippel, to William J. Weaver, son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Weaver, this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Weaver home, 4144 N. The service will be read by Rev. G. H. Main. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Brehm will sing, accompanied by Henry Knippel, uncle of the bride, who will also play the wedding march.
The bride will wear a dress of white taffeta made with a floor length skirth which forms a short train. The wide sash has a cluster of white taffeta gardenias at the front and ties at the back. The high, rounded nekline is finished with a Peter Pan corded collar, and the sleeves are puffed to the elbow. She will have a tulle veil, bordered with Chantilly lace, and the lace cap is made with a crown of seed pearls and has a chin strap. She will carry roses and swansonia.
Miss Florence Block, cousin of the bride and her only attendant, will wear a dress of pale pink crepe. There is a jacket, of waist length, which is finished with pleated ruffles. She will carry a bouquet of roses.
Lyle Owens will be the best man.
Following the ceremony, there will be a reception. Mrs. Helen Harley and Mrs. James Stanley will serve, and Miss Viola Helze will have charge of the gift room and guest book. A wedding dinner at 6 o'clock will be given at the Blackstone cafe for the bridal party.
