Bridgewater, Aug. 6.—Alfred R. White, who holds the unique distinction of being a veteran of both the World and the Spanish-American wars, is the new commander of Ashby Post No. 48 American Legion. He succeeds D. B. Allen.
White enlisted as a youth of 16 in the war with Spain and during the world conflict was a member of the famous Dayton band.
