John A. Fultz died unexpectedly of a heart condition at 10 o'clock this morning at his home on Water street, Spring Grove, at the age of70 years. Mr. Fultz is survived by his wife, Bessie Stambaugh Fultz, one daughter, Mrs. Harry F. Stacks; two grandchildren, one sister and three brothers. He retired three years ago after having been employed by the P. H. Glatfelter Company for more than 50 years. Funeral services which are in charge of Malvin A. Sauter, Spring Grove, remain incomplete.

Mrs. Bessie R. Fultz, 81, of 2411 Chestnut View Drive, Lancaster, a former resident of Spring Grove, died yesterday at 11:45 a.m. at St. Anne's Home, Columbia, where she had been a guest for two years. She was the widow of John A. Fultz, and was a daughter of the late Albertus and Rosa Hamme Stambaugh. She was a member of Mt. Zion United Church of Christ. Survivng are a daughter, Mrs. Harry F. Stacks, 2411 Chestnut View Drive, Lancaster, with whom she resided, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion United Church of Christ. The Rev. Morgan R. W. Andreas, her pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Sauter funeral home, Spring Grove, tomorrow evening and at the church Saturday an hour before the service.

Helena Fultz Stacks, 77, of 2411 Chestnut View Drive, died early today at St. Joseph Hospital after a one-week illness.
Mrs. Stacks was the wife of Harry F. Stacks, retired editor of the Lancaster Intelligencer Journal.
Mrs. Stacks was a member of First Reformed Church, United Church of Christ. She also was a member of the Auxiliary of the Rohrerstown Fire Company, the Auxiliary of St. Joseph Hospital and the Women's Democratic Club.
Born in Spring Gove, York County, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Bessie Stambaugh Fultz.
She and her husband marked their 55th wedding anniversary Aug. 9, 1985. They were married in Old South Church, Boston, Mass.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, John F., New York City, and MacDonald H., Lancaster, and two grandsons and a granddaughter.
