MRS. MATTIE MARTHA HAMPTON

EUSTIS, April 11.—(Special.)—Mrs. Mattie Martha Hampton, 88, and a resident of Eustis for 40 years, died at her home here last night after a prolonged illness. Survivors include her husband, Capt. H. J. Hampton and a sister in Indianapolis.

Henry J. Hampton Dies in Florida

Henry Jay Hampton, 91 years old, member of an early Wayne county family, died last Thursday at his home in Eustis, Fla., according to word received here Tuesday.

Mr. Hampton was a brother of the late Louis N. Hampton, north of Richmond. Several nieces and nephews reside in this community. He left Richmond 61 years ago.

Funeral services and burial were held at Eustis.

Capt. Hampton, Eustis Pioneer, Is Dead at 91

EUSTIS, April 24. —(Special.)—Capt. Henry J. Hampton, 91, who came to this section in 1881 and settled on the south shore of Lake Harris, died at a hospital today.

He had operated a freight boat service on Lake Eustis and inaugurated the first taxicab service here. He had no immediate survivors.
