Wm. A. Bickle, attorney for Anna E. Penland, filed complaint for divorce against James D. Penland. The cause alleged is abandonment and failure to provide. The plaintiff asks to have her name changed to Anna Elizabeth Reid and for the custody of her two children, Harry A., aged four months, and Florence, aged four years. The plaintiff also asks for $1,000 alimony.

Mrs. Anna Penland Dies; Rites Tuesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna E. Penland, who died Saturday, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Tolin and Herr Memorial Chapel, Indianapolis.

Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery at Richmond.

Mrs. Penland, 90 years old, a native of Richmond, had lived in Indiannapolis about 10 years. Her home was at 8435 Beechwood Avenue.

She was a member of Meadlawn Christian Church. There are no immediate survivors.
