PONTIAC — Miss Deloris Street and Glen E. Burton, both of Pontiac, were married in a double ring ceremony performed at 5 p. m. Friday at the home of Rev. Norman Rostron of Pontiac.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Street and Mr. Burton's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Winfield Gard.
A teal gabardine suit was the choice of the bride for her marriage. She wore brown accessories and a corsage of yellow roses. Her strand of pearls was given her by the bridegroom, and she carried a handkerchief made by the bridegroom's mother.
Attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Green of Pontiac. Mrs. Green was attired in an aqua gabardine suit with black accessories and a red rose corsage.
The bride is a graduate of Pontiac High School and is employed by F. W. Smith and Son. Mr. Burton attended Carrollton High School and served 38 months with the Marines during the war. He is foreman of the Pontiac Branch of the Fred L. Nelson Tree Service of Dayton, Ohio.
Their new home will be at 516 E. Payson St., Pontiac.
Prenuptial showers honoring the bride included a linen shower Aug. 18 given by the Women's Society of Christian Service of the Rooks Creek Church; a miscellaneous shower Aug. 20 at Moose Hall with Mrs. Helen Chamberlin, Mrs. Juanita Stang, Mrs. Jane Tinker, Mrs. Marjorie Legner and Mrs. Wanda Knudson as hostesses.
A miscellaneous shower was given Aug. 30, also at Moose Hall. Hostesses were Mrs. Viirginia Weber, Mrs. Sarah Jacobs, Mrs. Minola Weber and Mrs. Sara Craddoeh. Mrs. Richard Green entertained in the bride's honor Aug. 31 with a linen shower at her home.
