Letter to Mrs. Fanny Shedd, Windsor
Rindge Sept 13, 1808
Dear Sister, with pleasure I recieved your friendly letter by Mr. Kimball, were happy to hear that you and your family were well. It has been extremely sickly in Rindge, and the hither part of Jaffrey, for two months past. Our family as yet, have enjoyed tolerable health, I am daily expecting to share with our neighbours in the general calamity. In some families there have been four and five sick at the same time, their fevers have run generally from fourteen to twenty eight days, and some longer. Your friends enjoy their usual health. Mamma is somewhat lame yet, I think it probable she will always be troubled with her present complaint.
Mr. Shedd intends visiting you after harvest. Your friends as one, desire to be remembered to you. Our children send love to their little cousins. You will not forget to visit us when it is convenient.
Our parents join with Mr. Shedd and myself, in wishing you prosperity and happiness there. But above all, in receiving the friendship of Him, who alone, is able to make us happy. I am Dear Sister, affectionately yours.
Rebecca Shedd
Mrs. Shedd
