To the honorable the Justices of the Superior Court of Judicature holden at Charlestown, within and for the County of Cheshire and State of Newhampshire, on the first Tuesday of May, A. D. 1820,
The petition of JOEL RAYMOND of Rindge, in said County, Gentleman—HUMBLY SHEWETH, That he is Guardian to Charles Shedd, James Shedd, Curtis Shedd, George Shedd, and Rebecca Shedd, all of said Rindge, minors, under the age of twenty-one years, and heirs at law of ABEL SHEDD, Jr. late of said Rindge, deceased—and that his said wards are seized in fee, each of one undivided eighth part of the following described tracts of lands and tenements, situated in said Rindge, together with the buildings thereon, the widow's right to dower excepted, that being set off, the same being the whole of lot number thirteen in the tenth range, and the whole of lot number fourteen in said range, excepting about fifty acres of land laid off across the north end of said lot, now owned by Jonah Carter, and the whole of lot number fifteen in the tenth range, excepting about seventeen acres sold to Isaac Bailey, Jr. laid off across the north end of said lot—also, a certain part of lots number fourteen, fifteen and sixteen, in the ninth range, and part of lot number sixteen in the tenth range. The above land is fully described in deeds from Luke Wheelock, Richard Thompson, Enoch Hale, Joshua Tyler, and Richard Kimball, to Abel Shedd, reference thereto being had ; also, another piece of land lying in said Rindge, being the north-westerly part of the lot number thirteen in the ninth range, and bounded as follows :—westerly by lot number fourteen in the said ninth range, sourtherly by the brook commonly called Pool's Pond brook.
Your petitioner further represents that the said Estate of his said words, in the situation in which it now is, is, and must continue to be, very unproductive—that the interest of his said wards requires that the same should be sold and the proceeds put to use—Wherefore he prays the Honorable Court to grant him license for that purpose, agreeably to the Statue in such case made and provided.
JOEL RAYMOND,
By N. R. Cooke, his Att'y.
State of New Hampshire—Chesire ss.
